Acer, Quercus, Fendlera, Prunus, Ostrya
Rhizomes short-creeping, the scales +/- clathrate; leaves (and indusia) with scattered glands; petioles straw-colored except at very base; basal pinnae largest, sessile to subsessile on rachises; bulbets common but deciduous on older leaves, nearly glabrous; spores averaging 34 microns long, echinate-tuberculate with projections to 3 microns long.
