110° slope; facing northwest. Growing from a crack in the back of a deep crevice in the SE canyon wall. Locality is very well watered and permanently shaded. Mixture of Riparian, Evergreen Woodland, and Montane Conifer.
Soil deposits in the crack are very shallow, and they exhibit a homogeneous, sandy texture. They have derived in situ from Coconino Sandstone and organic detritus.
Infrequent; favors moist, well-shaded cracks and crevices. Fronds in this population rarely develop long-attenuate apices. Bulblets present on the specimen were lost during transport.
